Takeaways from Dreamforce 2014

It has been some time since Dreamforce 2014 ended in a spectacular success and while the fevered pitch seems to have abated a little, the wonderful experience of this year’s event is still fresh in the minds of those who were lucky enough to attend the conference.

AppShark, as a Salesforce Registered Partner, was one of those attending the four-day annual bash hosted by Salesforce. Though we have been attending Dreamforce for the last four years in a row, this was, by far, one of our best conferences so far. It not only gave us a chance to showcase ourselves but also gave us a new perspective and a clear picture of the direction in which Salesforce is now heading.

The inspirational and mind-blowing address by Marc Benioff was a great start to the event as were the sessions we attended. While we had fun exploring the various products, services and solutions showcased during the conference, it also gave us a chance to connect with new people, potential customers and partners who showed an active interest in AppShark’s implementation solutions and services. We met some great people from non-profit companies, SMBs, healthcare industry, large enterprises and representatives of other sectors.

Moreover, this year, the announcement for Salesforce Analytics has given us a new area to work on. In 2013, after the announcement of Salesforce1, we completed several projects in it and this time too, our Salesforce teams are already busy as

we are planning to do a POC on Analytics WAVE very soon.

All in all, it was a super exciting, fun-filled event for AppShark and we look forward to Dreamforce 2015.
